AI Agent Development
Most “AI agents” fail for predictable reasons: unclear workflows, messy data, no governance, and no adoption plan.
Breeze builds internal AI agents that sit inside real sales and operations workflows, with guardrails, logging and measurement built in.
What we mean by an “AI agent”
An AI agent is an internal assistant that can carry out defined tasks inside your process, such as:
- Summarising calls and updating your CRM
- Drafting quotes, proposals and follow-up emails from approved templates
- Triaging inbound enquiries and routing them correctly
- Retrieving internal knowledge and producing consistent answers
- Generating weekly reporting summaries and exception alerts
A good agent does not “freewheel”. It operates within rules, uses approved data sources, and escalates when confidence is low.

When agents are the right solution
Agents are a fit when there is volume, repetition, and clear structure.
Best-fit scenarios:
- High enquiry volume with slow response times
- Quoting or proposals are a bottleneck
- CRM updates are inconsistent and leadership cannot trust reporting
- Support teams repeat the same answers and lose internal knowledge
- Founder or senior staff are dragged into admin and coordination
Not a fit:
- You want an agent to replace a broken process
- You want “autopilot” without owners, approvals or logging
- Your data is scattered and there is no appetite to standardise inputs
If you are not sure whether you need an agent or automation, we will tell you. Many teams should implement workflow automation first, then add agents where they add clear value.
Agent Readiness Checklist
AI agents work best when the basics are in place. Use this checklist to self-assess before you invest.
Workflow clarity
You can describe the workflow in 5–7 steps from input → outcome
You know who owns each step and what “done” looks like
Exceptions are known (and you have an escalation path)
Data readiness
Your key data sources are identifiable (CRM, inbox, docs, tickets, shared drives)
The information is reasonably consistent (not scattered across 12 places)
You can define what the agent is allowed to access and what it must never see
Templates exist for outputs (quotes, proposals, follow-ups, support replies)
Risk and governance
You can classify outputs by risk (low-risk drafts vs high-risk commitments)
You are willing to start with approvals before full automation
You want logging and traceability (who used it, what it produced, what it referenced)
Someone internal will own changes to prompts, templates and rules
Adoption and measurement
A team lead is assigned as the internal owner
You will measure at least 2–3 outcomes (speed-to-response, quote turnaround, CRM completeness, conversion)
You can commit to a short feedback loop for improvements post-launch
Readiness scoring
If you tick 10+
You are likely ready for an agent build inside a 4–6 week sprint.
If you tick 6–9
You may be ready, but you will get better ROI by tightening the workflow and templates first. An audit will tell you what to fix.
If you tick 0–5
Start with workflow automation and process clean-up before agents. You will spend less and get results faster.
If you want a clear answer, book an Agent Feasibility Call. We will assess readiness, ROI, and the lowest-risk way to ship a measurable win.
Common agent builds we deliver
Sales admin agent (CRM + follow-ups)
Summarises calls and emails into CRM fields
Captures next steps and assigns tasks
Drafts follow-up messages aligned to your tone and offer
Flags deal risk and stalled opportunities
Outcome: cleaner CRM, stronger follow-through, better forecasting.
Quoting and proposal agent
Drafts quote/proposal content from approved templates
Adapts scope based on job type and context
Ensures consistent terms, inclusions and exclusions
Routes to a reviewer before sending
Outcome: faster turnaround, fewer errors, more consistent quality.
Enquiry triage agent
Reads inbound enquiries, extracts key details
Routes to the right person or workflow
Drafts replies to speed response time
Escalates edge cases and unclear requests
Outcome: faster responses, less inbox chaos, fewer missed leads.
Internal knowledge assistant
Retrieves answers from approved internal documents
Produces consistent responses with citations to source material (internally)
Logs usage and highlights gaps in documentation
Escalates when information is missing or ambiguous
Outcome: less repeated explaining, faster onboarding, fewer delivery mistakes.
Reporting and management summary agent
Generates weekly updates from CRM and operational data
Highlights exceptions and trends
Produces short summaries for leadership
Outcome: visibility without manual reporting effort.
Typical investment
To keep builds reliable and low-churn, we scope tightly and ship one agent end-to-end.
Typical ranges
Workflow-first design
We define the workflow the agent lives inside:
inputs
outputs
owners
exception handling
success metrics
No workflow, no agent.
Data rules and permissions
We define what the agent can access and what it cannot, including:
approved sources
sensitive data handling
retention rules
access permissions by role
Guardrails and controlled failure
We design for reliability:
confidence thresholds
human-in-the-loop approvals for higher-risk outputs
escalation routes
audit logs
Adoption and measurement
Agents that are not used are worthless. We implement:
team lead training
documentation
usage tracking
a review loop to improve accuracy and adoption
Delivery approach
Most premium agent builds are delivered as a 4–6 week implementation sprint, focused on one agent inside one end-to-end workflow.
What you receive:
- Feasibility and ROI estimate
- Scoped build plan
- Working agent integrated into the workflow
- Governance rules, permissions and logging
- Documentation and training
- Usage tracking and performance review plan

Typical investment
To keep builds reliable and low-churn, we scope tightly and ship one agent end-to-end.
Typical ranges
Agent Feasibility + ROI + scope: usually included within an audit or sprint scoping
Implementation Sprint (4–6 weeks): £20k–£45k+ depending on integrations and data requirements
Multi-agent programmes: £45k–£100k+ (usually phased)
If you want a fixed quote, start with the AI Workflow Audit to lock scope and priorities.
Frequently Asked Questions
Sometimes the interface looks like a chat, but the value is not the chat. The value is the agent operating inside a workflow with rules, ownership and measurement.
Not always. Many high-ROI agents work from structured inputs and templates. Knowledge retrieval is only added when it is required and can be governed properly.
It can, but premium implementations usually start with review and approval until outputs are stable. Full automation is phased in based on performance.
You cannot eliminate errors entirely, so we design for controlled failure: approved sources, confidence thresholds, mandatory fields, reviews, and escalation rules.
We define what data can be used, where it can be stored, and who can access outputs. We can implement permissions, logging and retention rules as part of the build.
