Greg & Rachel May- we own and operate 3 Beauty Salons in South Manchester – Beauty Tonic
As a child did you have an entrepreneurial attitude?
Rachel did- started selling on her parents driveway at the age of only 8
How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
We believed thet there was a gap in the market for a reasonably- priced Beauty Salon, with good customer (un- snooty) service.

More control over our lives

10 Salons in 10 Years, Franchise, exit.
How do you advertise your business?
Google adwords, organic, mail chimp, shop front
How has a website helped with your business?
Gives clients a better understanding of our business, separates us from competition

Staffing problems and Our industry is highly labour intensive also difficult to scale

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Do your research and understand that a business needs to make a profit, budget for everything and stick to it. Never start anything that you are not 100% passionate about and do not get involved in something you know nothing about.
